Of course you don’t just need to understand your people – you need to understand yourself and understand how others see you. No leaders I know want to make it difficult for their people to thrive – but we all have blind spots and the more senior you are the less likely people are to tell you the truth!

So where to start? You DON’T need more theory. You DO need more application – clarity on what to do more of or less of – today, next week, next month and beyond.  If I’d had a better understanding of how I needed to be different and do things differently in my first big senior roleI would have transitioned much more quickly. More importantly, if I͛d known that it was possible to change my beliefs, my habits, and the conversation in my head (those gremlins!)  I would have been more successful, more quickly – and much more relaxed and confident.

That’s why I’ve spent the last 20 years making it my mission to help leaders focus on the key things that will make the biggest difference. It’s rarely rocket science and yet it’s easy to miss the basics amongst all the ’noise’.
