Chris Middleton

Chris Middleton is one of the UK's leading technology journalists, with over 25 years writing for decision-makers.

He specialises in robotics, AI, automation, the IoT, Industry 4.0, autonomous transport and drones, blockchain, finance, space technologies, and technology strategy and ethics. He is the former editor of Computing, InternetOfBusiness.com, Computer Business Review, CBRonline, Professional Outsourcing (which he co-founded, now known as Intelligent Sourcing), and UCInsight, among others. He is currently Contributing Editor for Diginomica, Computing, TransformIndustry, and TransformFinance. Over the years, he has also written for Computer Weekly, The Guardian, The Times, PC World, I-CIO, V3, The Inquirer, and Blockchain News.  

Chris is an acknowledged robotics expert who has written strategy reports on the subject for Innovate UK (on the back of the UK’s Expert Missions programme), and has appeared on BBC TV, BBC radio, ITN, and Talk Radio discussing the impact of robotics and AI. Unusually, Chris also owns a number of real robots, which he hires out to events and organisations.
