Digitising the supply chain

6:30 PM - 9:30 PM
The House of Lords, Westminster, London

Achieving end-to-end supply chain visibility through technology

The modern supply chain is highly complex, involving numerous subcontractors, varying commercial and physical environments in different regions, and the constant evolution of legislation. This complexity is exacerbated by the fact that much supply chain data has not been digitised, making accurate forecasting and operational planning challenging.

The result of this complexity is that operational risks are hard to manage while supplier risks, such as poor financial performance or weak sustainability, are hard to detect.

Enhancing data visibility through digitalisation presents a significant opportunity to improve supply chain efficiency, resilience and risk management. However, achieving good data visibility is not simple. Organisations need to understand what data they need to analyse their supply chains effectively. They must be able to capture and use that data. And they need to develop strategies for estimating metrics accurately when real-time digitised data is unavailable.

By adopting technologies such as digital product passports (DPPs), AI-powered command centres and digital twins, organisations can gain a clearer view of their supply chains. By visualising supply chain data they can enable better planning, scenario development and decision-making. Ultimately, they can mitigate operational and supplier risks, ensure compliance with evolving legislation and build more resilient and efficient supply chains.

Join us to network with your peers and gain practical insights into strategies for enhancing supply chain visibility. This is an exclusive event and seat numbers are very limited, so apply for your place now.

The topics we will explore

During the meeting we will focus on questions such as:

  • Why is a lack of visualized data in supply chains a problem?
  • What risks can organizations mitigate through better data visualization?
  • What critical data is needed for effective supply chain management?
  • How can data from across the supply chain be captured, digitised and made accessible?
  • What role can digital technology play in improving supply chain visibility and orchestration?
  • How can digital twins be effectively embedded into existing processes to drive value?
  • In a globalised economy, how can organisations co-ordinate the implementation of technologies such as DPPs across regions with differing regulations and standards?
  • What does the future hold for supply chain management? How will digital technologies such as AI improve efficiency and resilience?
