PARIS (Reuters) - The Netherland’s DPA data protection watchdog said on Monday it imposed a fine of 290 million euros ($324 million) on ride-hailing platform Uber for sending personal data of European taxi drivers to the United States in violation of EU rules.
Uber has meanwhile stopped the breach, DPA added. The investigation triggered by a complaint from French taxi drivers.
